500 career wins for Wild

Wild notches 500th career victory
CLARKSVILLE -- Wilson Central's Lady Wildcats remained undefeated at 13-0 with a 50-33 victory over Cheatham County in Wednesday night's (Dec. 21) finals of the Rossview Christmas Tournament.
Addison Byrd knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 24 to lead all scorers. Lindsey Freeman added 15 points and Piper Elrod eight.
One night earlier, WCHS head coach John Wild notched his 500th career victory as his squad topped Rossview High 36-21.
Wilson Central gets back to business 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28 against the host Overton Lady Bobcats in the Overton Christmas Tournament.

MHEA 63, Lebanon 57
MEMPHIS -- Lebanon High dropped a 63-57 decision to Memphis Home Education Association Wednesday in the finals of the "More Than A Game" tournament at Harding Academy.
Aaryn Grace Lester paced Lebanon with 11 points while Allissa Mulaski and Anne Marie Heidebreicht each had 10 points.
Lebanon slipped to 7-6 with the loss.
Mulaski and Christaney Brookshire were named all-tournament.
LHS returns to the hardwood Wednesday, Dec. 28 against host Hickman County High in the annual "Above The Rim" Invitational Tournament.

Watertown 62, Bishop Verot, FL 30
ORLANDO, FL -- Watertown's Tigerettes wrapped up play Wednesday in the KSA Events Pre-Holiday Tournament at ESPN's Wide World of Sports with a 62-30 victory over Bishop Verot High School of Fort Meyers, FL.
Ashlea Dickens led the way for WHS with 18 points while Mya Huddleston and Emma Edwards each had 12.
Now 8-7 on the season with a fifth place finish in the KSA tournament, Watertown picked up a 62-37 win Tuesday over Forrest Lake Academy (FL).
Huddleston had 15 points for the winners and Dickens finished with 12.
Watertown will be back in action at home Tuesday, Jan. 3 against District 8-A rival Goodpasture.
