The 27th Annual Tennessee Beef Agribition will be held at the James E. Ward Ag Center in Lebanon this weekend.

The event, which was held in Murfreesboro for 22 years and moved to Lebanon five years ago, will begin Friday. The breeds and show times for Friday are as follows: Simmental, noon; Hereford Horned/Polled, 12:30 p.m.; Shorthorn, 1:30 p.m.; Angus, 3 p.m.; Gelbvieh/Balancer, 4:30 p.m.; Limousin, 6 p.m.

According to Junior Show Coordinator Quintin Smith, the trade show is open and free to attend.

In addition to cattle, Smith said there would be wood carvers, embroiders and other crafters on hand.

The sale will take place on Saturday, with breeds at the following times: Simmental, 10 a.m.; Hereford horned/Polled, 11:30 a.m.; Shorthorn, noon; Angus, 2 p.m.; Gelbvieh/Balancer, 4 p.m.; Limousin, 6 p.m.

The Agribition Junior Show will be held Sunday.

Smith noted that Michael Butler of Milton is the agribition president, Jim Hinton of Trezevant is the treasurer and that Lebanon's Diane Major and Mike Watkins are trade show manager and vice president, respectively.

"People come from all over the United States to our show," Smith said on Thursday. "We have folks from Wisconsin, Kansas and Ohio."
