Turner, Price take top honors
Watertown High athletes brought home two of the top honors Monday, Dec. 7 at the District 4, 2A football awards banquet held at the East-West Building of the James E. Ward Agricultural Center.
Do-everything senior fullback / linebacker Luke Turner was named District Most Valuable Player while junior quarterback Seth Price was named Offensive Player of the Year.
The duo helped lead the Purple Tigers to a record on 8-3 and a second place finish in the district.
All-district honorees from Watertown included: Skylor Scales, Zack Grisham, Brady Swann, Vonte Bates, James Vaden and Rusty Staats.
Both the defensive Player of the Year (Slayton Wild) and Most Valuable Lineman (Boone Sweeney) came from league champion Forrest High.
