WHS, FCS host tonight

Watertown High and Friendship Christian will be at home tonight as the rest of the county wraps up the Week Zero slate of prep football games.

The Purple Tigers will take on Cascade in a 7 p.m. game -- opening the final season at Robinson Stadium before moving to the new school in 2014.

The Champions are a familiar foe -- having knocked the Purple Tigers out in the first round of the 2012 playoffs.

Friendship Christian is scheduled to host Harding Academy out of Memphis in a 7:30 p.m. meeting at Pirtle Field.

The Commanders are coming off back-to-back state titles, but have changed to Division II in the TSSAA.

Wilson Central will be on the road at District 9-AAA rival Hendersonville in a 7 p.m. contest.

The Wildcats are slowly, but surely getting their injured players back on the field.

Mt. Juliet Christian Academy, with a senior class thats eight-strong, will be on the road for a 7 p.m. game at
Whitwell.

Coach Jake Roberts and his Saints will face a pair of home games Sept. 6 vs. Middle Tennessee Christian and Sept. 13 vs. Oakdale Academy.
