Tigers visit Upperman Friday -
Watertown High football invites the public to attend the second annual "meet the players" tailgate event set for Saturday, Aug. 12.

The fun starts at 4 p.m. on the WHS campus with inflatables for the kids and a silent auction. A $10 per person barbecue dinner commences at 6 p.m.

A live auction and the introduction of the players will begin at 7:30 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded -- including a family pass to all 2017-18 WHS regular season athletic events.

Anyone interested in making cash or auction donation should contact Ann Watts at 615-330-8611.

WHS vs. Macon Co.
Watertown had a solid showing in a scrimmage at Macon County's Pat Parker Field Friday, Aug. 4.

"We played a pretty good ball game," said WHS head coach Gavin Webster. "There was a lot of effort and energy. On defense, we flew around to the football. If we can play well on defense, that should help our offense out."

The Watertown offense recorded a pair of 80-yard drives and tallied another score on a long run by tailback Deramus Carey.

The sophomore, who moved in from LaVergne, started right, then cut back left, breaking three tackles on the way to at least a 50-yard TD run.

Friday Jamboree
Watertown will participate in the Upperman High jamboree Friday, Aug. 11 in Baxter.
