Willette Patterson Reed, 86

LEBANON -- Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Reed, 86, of Lebanon.
A medical secretary for Dr. Morris D. Ferguson for almost 30 years, Mrs. reed died April 10, 2011, at the University Medical Center.
Born March 3, 1925, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Willie "Will" Samuel Patterson and Jimmie Katharyne "Kate" Clemons.
Mrs. Reed was a 1943 graduate of Lebanon High School and completed the medical secretary program at UT-Nashville. She was a member of First Baptist Church, LLL Club, Wilson County FCE Club.
She served as President of the Donnell Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Reed loved her family, her church and was known throughout the community for her wonderful smile, positive attitude, and loving and gentle spirit.
Visitation after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Don McElroy and Rev. David Freeman. Interment will be in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
A devoted mother and loving grandmother, she is survived son Gerald Gregory Reed and his wife Yvonne A. Joosten of Brentwood; grandsons: Lyle Andrew Reed of Saratoga Springs, NY and Caelan Riley Reed of Boulder, CO.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Carl Elwin Reed and brothers Robert Allan Patterson and John Hatton Patterson.
The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to her nieces, Laverne Griffin and Linda Patterson, her nephew, Bill Patterson, her best friend, Mildred Carson and her honorary son, Terry Climer for their support and friendship.
Honorary pallbearers: Donnell Sunday School Class. Active Pallbearers: Steve and Mark Carr, Shaun and Bill Patterson, Terry Climer and Dr. Morris D. Ferguson.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or Wilson County FCE Club.
