William Harold "Bill" Cox, age 88, of Mt. Juliet, TN, died May 21, 2017.

Mr. Cox was a longtime member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and was a member of the Prime Timers Sunday School Class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving duty at Clark Air Force Base, the Philippines and as a support liaison during the Korean Conflict. His most significant duty was serving the Hq 316th Troop Carrier Group in Smyrna, TN. For his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Bronze Clasp with 2/Loops to GCM. Over the years, Mr. Cox donated 11 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross to pass on the gift of life so that blood would be on hand when needed. Mr. Cox was the son of the late Alma Dee Hamilton Cox.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Royce Mires Cox; siblings, Peggy Cox Colbert, Jim Cox and Bobby Cox and grandchildren, Russell Morrow, Jr. and Candice Morrow.

He is survived by Daughters, Telia (Steven) Weaver of Marietta, GA, Tavia (Kenny) Stults of Smithville, TN and Traci (Rusty) Morrow of Mt. Juliet, TN. Brother - Jack Cox of Tupelo, MS, Grandchildren - Amber Verhine, Scott Sheehy, Jackie Davidson, Julie Richardson, JoDee Prichard and Drew Morrow, Great-grandchildren - Sadie Reece, Bayleigh Reece, Ella Verhine, Jessica Davidson, Zane Richardson, Kenadee Prichard and Katie Jo Prichard.

Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Caughman, Buddy Pickler, Gary Howard, Win Keith, Langley Siekiersky and Ron Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, Aaron Jones and Glenn Pritchett.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Association, Tennessee Chapter, PO Box 402441, Nashville, TN 37204-0244 or the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
