LEBANON -- Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, March 11 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Montgomery, 80, of Lebanon.
A member of Maple Hill Church of Christ retired after 50 years of service with Lone Star (Marquette Cement), he died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the University Medical Center.
A native of Wilson County, he was the son of the late William Herschel & Bessie Lee Vaughn Montgomery.
Visitation Friday from 10 a.m. until the funeral.
Services will be conducted by Brother Wayne Miller. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 61 years Myrtle Graves Montgomery; children Debra (Tommy) Binion, James Montgomery and Gary (Connie) Montgomery.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Michael (Jenny) Binion and Phillip(Brianne) Montgomery; great grandchildren Casey Binion, Dexter Montgomery, Theoren Montgomery and Morrigan Montgomery; sisters Ogeal Carpenter, Wilma Jones, Mabel (Richard) Stephens, Doris (Barry) Smith, Betty (Clyde) Ricketts and Sheila Edwards; brothers Johnny (Wilma) Montgomery, Grady (Clara) Montgomery, David (Patricia) Montgomery, Charles (Gail) Montgomery and Neal (Colebra) Montgomery; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings Leota Wrye, Christine Napier, Erlene Hardin and Tamer “Joe” Montgomery.
Pallbearers: Johnny Montgomery, Ronnie Wrye, Barry Montgomery, Grady Montgomery, David Montgomery, Charles Montgomery and Neal Montgomery.
