Wilson County Schools will hold a free English as Second Language (ESL) Camp June 1 through 5 at Rutland Elementary School, Building A, in Mt. Juliet.

The camp will run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day and is for Wilson County ESL students enrolled in county schools from age five through the fifth grade, according to Federal Projects Supervisor Julie Harrison.

"Parents may register their child by contacting me at either 615-444-3282 or by e-mail at harrisonj@wcschools.com, or they can register Monday morning at Rutland Elementary," Harrison said.

"Monday morning is the last time students may register, though."

Harrison added that students will need to bring their own lunches each day; however, snacks will be provided, or "parents may send them with their child," she added.

Additionally, parents will need to provide transportation for the students to and from the school each day.

Rutland Elementary is located at 1995 South Rutland Road.

"We have a week of world-class fun planned for the students as they embark on a journey discovering the wonders of their city, state, nation and the world," Harrison said. "We hope parents will take advantage of this free week of fun and adventure for their children."
