Woman of Wilson: Shari Arnold

This year Shari Arnold introduced the city of Mt. Juliet to her business, Third Coast Salt.

Third Coast Salt offers salt therapy, relaxation, skincare, waxing and more.

"In my mid-40s, I went back to school," Arnold said of her career change. "You are now looking at a state-licensed Esthetician and Certified Health Coach. I want to heal people through salt therapy, education, respect and love."

Salt therapy at Third Coast Salt consists of a relaxation room for adults and a playroom for youth. Arnold offers Indie Lee products in the skincare room, as well as waxing, facials and peels.

Arnold is not a native to Tennessee - but said she came here because of the people and good schools.

She was actually born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised "all over" the south.

"I spent most of my childhood in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, before I moved away to Los Angeles and Nashville. To put it simply, I am a Bayou Belle," she said.

Arnold is a single mother to her beloved children, Maggie, 10, and Jack Ryman, 9.

"Being a mommy is the 'Oscar' of all roles. There is nothing more fulfilling than inspiring these two little humans. I am proud of the individuals they have become," she added. "They bring joy to all they encounter."

In her spare time, Arnold is a yogi at Unity Yoga Room. She also enjoys watching a good movie.

The woman she most admires is her mother, Susan Arnold, a retired educator of over 37 years.

"My beautiful mother - is the most patient, loving creature on this planet. She has touched the lives of thousands of students, parents and educators. It warms my heart when I think of the numerous stories of how she has molded our youth throughout her educational career," Arnold said.

"My mother soars even higher as 'Mimi' to my Maggie, Jack Ryman and my nephew, Kaelen. I wish we had more selfless beauties like the lady I call my Mom."
