LEBANON -- Despite having lost seven senior starters off last year's state runner-up team, it appears Wilson Central's wrestling program has reloaded with a fresh crop of talented underclassmen.

The Wildcats swept the annual Wilson County Duals Dec. 3 at Lebanon High's Campbell Brandon Gymnasium, moving to 5-1 on the season after downing Mt. Juliet 52-27 and host Lebanon 60-13.

Wilson Central's 31-man roster is dotted with 16 freshmen. In fact, Thursday's lineup featured five ninth graders and two sophomores out of 14 wrestling classes.

"I can't put into words how proud my staff and I are of this team," Coach John Kramer said. "Instead of hanging their heads with the loss of last year's seniors, they have accepted the challenge. Their work ethic has been outstanding and the results certainly speak for themselves".

Mt. Juliet finished 1-1 Thursday night, defeating Lebanon 55-33.
