LHS boys cross country

LHS boys finish 2nd out of 21 teams
DICKSON -- Lebanon High's Caleb Kawasaki clocked a 16:44 Saturday to claim first place honors in the Sept. 17 running of the Dickson Invitational held at Buckner City Park.

All told, three Blue Devils placed in the top 20 -- pushing LHS to a second place overall finish out of 21 teams and 165 runners.

Rossview finished first with 83 points, LHS was second with 84 and Cookeville third with 86.

Ethan Njezic finished 14th with a time of 18:17 while Jacob Andrews came in 16th at 18:28.

Chance Lindsay placed 27th at 18:58; Noah Chance finished 28th at 19:00; David O'Hanlon ran a 19:22 for 38th place and Devin Cole was 39th with a time of 19:30.

In the girls division, Lebanon placed sixth out of 11 teams competing for the team title.

Indi Mastin led the Lady Devils with a time of 23:19 -- good enough for 27th place in a field of 108 competitors.

Maddie Martin ran a 23:38 and finished in 32nd place with Allie Dozier right on her heels with a 23:44 for 33rd.

Brianna Garza finished 47th with a time of 25:12; Madeline Walker placed 50th at 25:34; Abby Chance ran a 25:55 to beat out teammate Chance Reasonover (25:57) for 57th place.
